99.9% sure of authenticity, pics arent the greatest, and are the proof coins more valuable?

Seeing pics on here I realize how bad they are, will post better pics tomorrow, and I think only 10,000 proof coins minted in "78"

None of the 1978 Krugerrands sold recently on ebay are proofs. If yours is confirmed to be a proof issue and not a high grade bullion coin, there definitely would be a premium. But it's difficult to say how much since proof Krugerrands aren't seen very often. It would probably have to be in original packaging or be authenticated by a TPG to carry a premium.

Is there anyway you can supply clearer photos? I am questioning the authenticity but need to see the details to be sure.

Hair doesn't look right and the nose appears too pointy. Slope of the nose should be similar to the slope of the forehead which it is not. Better pics will confirm.

Dam guys I was just looking at some previous posts on fakes and this does look like one, I'm so glad that info is on here, I was about to do some trading for this coin, I went back to the guys house to take those last pics and I'm glad I told him I was going to get some feedback on this site before we finalize anything, I kinda feel bad for him tho, nlt sure what he gave for it. THIS SITE & ALL YOU PROS ARE GREAT

Compare the size of the dot above the head, and the shapes of the 1 and 9 in the date. It's often the fonts of the letters and numbers that are wrong in counterfeits.

That is a common Chinese fake seen quite often on ebay with no sideburns. A genuine coin has sideburns on Mr. Kruggerand. Also on the reverse, the tail is wrong. Very easy to spot.

100% certain it is fake. Everything mentioned above (Ha! How did I not notice the sideburns!) and also pips are all wrong. Not enough of them and wrong shape. And the dot above the head is not a circle but a diamond shaped thingy.
