There is a local pawn shop selling a large amount for $1 each. My question if when I sell them what will I get for them.

Less than a dollar. But seriously they melt $1.46 right now and sell on ebay for over a dollar but many people don't want them as a silver holding due to their low purity (35%). If you want some as collectible coins that's a different story but my experience as silver holdings? Not good. Get 90%.

I agree with BH. If you want to stack silver, there are much better options than War Nickels. Dealers barely want them.

I'd buy any that aren't culls for that price

I'd buy for that price. Sell on ebay when silver is on the rise. I've never had a problem turning a profit on them selling by rolls or larger lots. Usually get right around melt.

War Nickels look very attractive with a nice white luster, when in MS++ condition.
I was fortunate enough to grab such an example out of a dealer's junk box at a Sydney coin show, many years ago.
