Not sure if it is inverted, but there is a very nice lamination in the same area. Too bad the coin is heavily damaged elsewhere...

a nice lame but definitely beat up a bit. It does look like the inverted S to me but I have no experience with this one.

That is the normal ball serif for the date. The inverted mint marks for the Lincoln series are 1910-S and 1946-S.
