One of my favorite Lincoln coins, A 1983 P which has a DDO and two DDR's! Unfortunately, this coin has neither! Oh well I'll keep looking, maybe the next bank coin roll.

What it did have is an unusual Die Crack on the obverse date covering the 9, 8, and over the 3 to the rim. The reverse has 3 Die Cracks, one over the I in United, one between the R & I in America and on the right end of the Memorial. Also, two Die Chips, one on column 8 of the Memorial, which looks like a crooked 7 and a small one just south of the die crack on the right bottom of the Memorial. Coin is bright and difficult to photograph yummy, all kinds of fun! Let me know your thoughts and Regards.

I like the way you take you images. While you can't get the full image of the obverse and reverses in one shot, If I needed to see the full images, With the two halves of the images, I could make your images into one large one. But not needed today. Is there die clash lines on the obverse on the face? Image #2 looks like bay out lines?

Agreed great die crack. In a location not usually seen too.
BTW - the other die cracks are cool too.

Very nice pics, as always. Cool cracks, especially the one through the date. There is a cataloging of cracks through dates and LIBERTY somewhere, can't remember where though. Maybe someone else knows. COC maybe, a subcategory of BIE's?

I would list the die crack on the date if the OP would send me the required images in the Unusual Die Crack section.

Coop following pics are what I am calling 'Experiment of different light levels looking for Die Clash lines on obverse of 1983 P Lincoln Cent'!
The five pictures are as follows:
Pic one, normal overhead and sidelights.
Pic two, low or no lights essentially ambient local light.
Pic three, medium overhead and sidelights.
Pic four, light level full all lights with microscope light filter (conical plated circular filter with center black ring allowing light to enter to help glare from bright image.
Pic five my normal setup levels no filter!
I do not see any clash lines but there are crosshatch lines to the bottom left of Lincoln's head in pic 1 and 5 which have a pattern lines visible as well as vertical lines on his neck. Is this what you are referencing? Anyway thank you for your reply and too all who reply thanks as well! Regards.
