1928 S/S Lincoln Wheat Cent - RPM-003

This is an RPM that isn't seen super often so figured I'd put it up. Got it from another CCFer so maybe it's actually already on here somewhere but even so would still be a good one to revisit.

All four of the CONECA listed RPMs for this date are on the large S, and oddly that in and of itself has an FS number (FS-501) although none of the actual mint marks are considered strong enough for a listing.

The die state is nice on this coin than the other on the sites.

Nice variety -- You make that mint mark look obvious, but it is not so easy to spot.

I would venture a guess that eventually the FS designation will go away [if that is possible].
Many people refer to these large-S's as rare, but I'm thinking they make up at least 10-20% {unofficially} of the 28S's.

Thanks for all the kind comments! Was away, again, and finally getting a chance to catch up and surf the board and see what's being found. Some pretty good stuff showing up lately it seems.

As for the MD, well it seems that pretty much all the coins from this die show something like that, so almost a die marker if that's even possible.
