Not a mule, look here for definition of mule; https://www.coincommunity.com/dicti.../coins_m.asp and also look up "die clash" while you're there
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Without a planchet between the dies, the clash creates damage on the opposite side of the dies from each other:
