Not really, its basic F - VF. Its a good find, but at 8 million coins, its hardly rare. An UNC one is catalogued at $10 and realistically who would pay that.

Yours sadly maybe worth 50 cents to someone really wanting it now. Its been in circulation for 50 years and shows it.

Princetane, you have drastically underestimated the hype surrounding this coin in Australia. People will and do pay a lot more than $10 for an uncirculated 1972 5 cent coin.

The OP's coin would easily sell for $6-$8 on ebay Australia. Certainly not worth grading though.
