Just picked up this quarter for $185 in an ANACS slab for my collection but I think it could be overgraded. Is this a solid AU-58? Grade? Comment? I'll post the grade on the slab later. Thank you!

I would agree with AU-58. There may be some hairlines hidden by the blurriness of the photo. Very nice type coin!

Best to wait a full 48 hours before revealing results so everyone gets a chance to chime in.

I am at AU58, but not a fan of the hairlines on obverse.
Rest in Peace

Hi, jacrispies. Thank you for your input. I'm wondering if hairlines on the obverse could affect its grade if it got crossed over to PCGS/ ngc? What is the "acceptable amount" of hairlines on a coin so that it could still get a straight grade? Thank you.

Cheers,

I see a solid AU-58 coin with a trace of friction on the high points and slight luster disruption in the obverse fields. There's nothing obvious that suggests cleaning or other problems.
