Is this an old Indian Rupee?

It weighs 3.45 grams with a diameter of 22mm

Is this piece authentic? Value range?

It's from Iran, a local type from Khuzistan (Huwayza) - Mahmudi - KM#235

Your coin is listed in Steve Album's Checklist of Islamic Coins as follows:

Shahs of Iran, Safavids, Suleyman I, AH 1079-1105/ AD 1668-1694, AR 2 shahi (mahmudi), Huwayza, 1084. Album 2663.

It's a common type, retail value is maybe $15 or $20.
