@brick, as I stare at your picture with tired eyes, the pattern of circulation scratches forms a variety of random letters, but I not seeing LIBERTY or anything else cohesive. Can you please draw the letters on the pic and add it to this thread so it is more evident? I'm pretty sure this is all Pareidolia, but I'd like to be positive. Thx.

You may try to reconstruct of what you've thought. Try play with watermark with similiar letter you think of.

Pareidolia. Your looking for things that aren't there.
What you are describing is impossible to happen during the striking of a coin.

I think there are some die clashes with "Liberty" from the headband, but they are on the reverse, not the obverse. I can't see anything on yours except imagination.
