2003 Roosevelt Dime Error? - Coin Community Forum

Danzil New Member United States 35 Posts	Posted 06/03/2022 9:57 pm Hi guys I'm fairly new to coin collecting & not very knowledgeable so bare with me. I found a 2003 Roosevelt dime that I believe is what they call a "capped die strike". I'm posting pics for reference, if that's what it is, & are they worth anything? The coin is slightly smaller around, & slightly thicker than a normal dime. At first I thought some really smart guy may have taken a grinder to it, then I looked at the edges. I've searched PCGS, & several forums for info on it, & I haven't found one like this. The fields are dull, and raises are shiny, almost complete opposite of a normal coin. Any help, info, or tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Report this Post to the Staff
