Hey guys, can you please help me settle this ongoing dispute, I'm having about this coin, as I was embarrassed to mention, that I bought this coin for$55, because the person I bought it from labeled this coin, as an DDO, NOT A MD COIN, and he's insulting me. By telling me, I'm not a collector, and only in it for the money. Also that any true collector, would love this coin for they're collection, and that he gave me a great deal on the coin for$55 and that this coin is very hard to find, and can people give me a honest opinion on a monetary value of this coin, even if it's only worth face value, or $1, or maybe 50 cents, so I can have a little bit of knowledge, when I tell him I didn't get a great deal on this coin for$55.I mentioned to him, tjsbay it is a md, and not a DDO, and he basically agreed and still said all that about the coin, that I mentioned, and don't see where he is coming from, or is he right in a way, I don't know, and you guys are the most knowledgeable people on the internet, that I've seen, so please, any thoughts and or opinions would be helpful, and just help me, to know, that I did, or did not get a great deal on this coin, thank you coin pros for all you do, and a pat on the back as well from me, have a good day, and hope to hear from several people, hopefully!

Given the images posted I'm seeing a nice example of Machine Doubling on the date. Also a die chip in the B in LIBERTY. Any die chips and/or die cracks on the reverse?

All said, your coin is worth anywhere from 3-15 cents--maybe upwards of 25-50 cents to someone who's obsessed with Machine Doubling.

worth a few cents for its copper content but no premium for this sort of thing. I suggest if there is a return policy you return the coin as it was advertised falsely from what you have said and for 55$ you got ripped off 54.98$

Worth about 3 cents, the wholesale value of wheaties. If you really did pay $55, chalk it up to an expensive lesson. I bet you won't do such a purchase again without researching it first, or I should hope not!

Yes, I'm really back. I was in a very serious accident where I had compound breaks of my both of my tibias (both legs). I'm slowly recovering. Thanks to all who enquirered about me.

Nice example of MD, but I'd say 5 cents tops.
