I've seen this dealers coins at ebay many times, and I posted something about him once before, but lately he is beginning to dominate Morgan dollar sales at ebay. This morning I was just looking around recent ebay sold listings and noticed his "crap" again. When I looked at recent SOLD listings for just a single year/mint, a common 1890 P Morgan, his coins completely dominated all recent sales. I didn't look beyond the last 100 sold at ebay, but of these last 100 1890 P's sold, 83 were his coins and only 17 from all other ebay sellers combined. He calls himself "Morgandealer", and he's a disgrace to the hobby. He covers his arse by saying that because of his high volume, some of his coins might be cleaned. Well the truth is if he would tell it, is that every single coin he sells has been not only cleaned, but polished and photo shopped to show artificial luster. Shame on him! Here's his ebay store. As you can see it doesn't matter the year or mint, all coins are cleaned, polished and photo shopped and look identical from a distance, and only when you click on the pictures to enlarge them you see how damaged these coins really are ............. https://www.ebay.com/str/morgandealer*** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

The photos look as if they have been heavily "touched up.". Luster shouldn't be smooth. It should show the metal flow. Wow!

Pics also look overexposed in places, perhaps in an effort to hide scratches.

It appears they are digitally adding the luster to their coins. Every coin has the same luster.

Yes, appears to be the creative use of image processing tools.

A big reason I quit using ebay to buy raw, ungraded coins, just from a picture, for the most part. ebay seems to have NOONE with the skill and keen eyes, many members here possess, and they certainly won't cut off their nose to spite their face. After all, why employ people who will cut their own revenue source, that would be BAD for shareholders, and wouldn't force collectors to open their wallets and dig deeper. There seems to be as many shady crooked sellers on ebay, that you may as well be at a Cairo bazaar thinking youre getting a real antique, it's UNBELIEVABLE to be sure

nss-52 really brought it home here, showing all those coin with identical luster/cart wheel effect. Shame on that guy. I'm actually surprised the buyers are, well - buying into his selling practices.

Wow, is this interesting... Nss-52, those pics you gladly showed us are clearly not uncirculated at that ... That would be great if ebay would allow any of us CCFers access with over 1000 posts full authority to weed out these deliberate baddies, or to just simply help with ignorant people. I know, easier said than done ... Bobby does great at that . Or whatever coin/currency auction comes up there gets routed to those of us here on CCF with over 1000 posts to opt in and pass judgment on accuracy of photos, accuracy of descriptions, etc. That would be a sight to behold!

not just 1000 posts - must have been a member for over 3 years or so to get the experience needed to judge the coins and pictures submitted.

I will also add in the description, he states that "some" of the coins have been cleaned due to "the quantity" they go through LOL
