I need help/pointers with this one.
It's the first coin I've tried to figure out which Stage it's in.
The pointer needed is there an easy way?
I made a list of both VarietyVista and Coppercoins markers and checked off yes & no compared to mine.

Using VarietyVista -003 stage A,B,C,D.
The only couple that matched was.
Die chip lower R.
Light die crack on forehead.
Lower left base is similar but mine looks different.

Using Coppercoins. -003
Obverse: Everything is a match except for E/W die scratch from lower E-WE.
Reverse: Nothing matches except the large die blob lower left base but mine looks different though.

Here's a few pictures (but) you should know me by now I have more. Figured to match what VarietyVista had.

Sure appreciate you looking and your comments/help.

Well that is a great question, of which I have no answer to. So I'll stand by and learn along with you, as soon as the experts stop in.

First of all, nice find! Second, I always like to scroll to the bottom of VV's listing, to see if there is more than one obverse/reverse, which ever the case may be. This one did have the reverse die changed out at stage D, this alone, can save you some time and confusion. Sometimes they have been changed out two or three times. Third, I like to pay attention to the flow lines, just to get a feel for the age of the die, sometimes that will help move you in the right direction, quicker. At this point, all I know to do, is to pick it apart, as you have.

With the fact that you do not have the die chip on the "N" of CENT, would put it at stage A or earlier, before it showed up or stage D with the different reverse. This should help to narrow it down for you.

Curious [not really] as to why you don't provide a link to the variety if you want assistance.

Sorry @CentSation. I just thought it was enough to mention VarietyVista and Coppercoins.
Is this what you mean?
VarietyVista #1960-D DDO-003
Stages A,B,C,D
Coppercoins #1960D-1DO-003.

. Well here goes.
I think (maybe) my coin (could) be Stage E and Coppercoins Stage F?

On Obverse. Both of ours has the die gouge from middle of S-TRUST. VarietyVista A,B,C,D doesn't.
Coppercoins has E/W die scratch from lower E-WE. VarietyVista and mine doesn't.

On Reverse. Except for the large blob at the left end of base. My coin is different from VarietyVista and Coppercoins.
Mine doesn't have chips on N,T of CENT. No chip on D-UNITED. No chip or break on Column 12. No depression at right Eave. No Clashes.

Sure will appreciate your comments and help about what I came up with.

Regards. Rob.

With all the die flow lines and distortion of the devices, it is probably a LDS coin at this point. (Past the second polishing. Eventually facing a third polishing in the future. Life for a coin die is not months/weeks, but days and sometimes hours as so many coins are struck with a die that hasn't fallen apart or gone through a die clash event. When a die issue happens, then it is altered by polishing or retirement. Depends on the die event that happens.
