@cam, first welcome to CCF. Second, I agree that this cent is showing signs of Ridge Ring, which is an indication that the die that struck it was tired. This isn't a mint error and adds nothing to the coin's value.


Added: can you please add the date and mint of this coin to the thread? Including that information helps with the search functionality of the website. Thx!

Just a spender. The plated over zinc dust is a normal distraction. But the Ridge Ring is just a die event. Put it back to work.
