requesting help for id confirmation of this coin -

Dimensions -
Coin # 85
Diameter: 9.5 - 10.7 mm
Weight: 1.24 gm
Thickness: 2.5 mm

these coin came to me as Nagas dynasty coin, there are a couple of things that make me think this could possibly be a coin from South India, Mysore or some other-
1. the supposed Bull with humped back doesn't have a hump & coud be an elephant as in Mysore coins
2. searched & compared with a few dozen Naga coins on the net but couldn't find even a single specimen similar to the second image, though it has a semblance to few from Mysore

couple of examples (not exact match) -

would be grateful for help

could be an elephant

That was my first thought before reading your description. However, this is definitely outside my comfort level.

I think it does look like a KM#146 half kasu, with the elephant facing left. Not sure why the reverse has that wavy line though.

Could just be different strikes on the flan. Wave may be off flan I the NGC example.

I'm also jealous. I like the Indian coppers with elephants but I don't have one in my collection.

thanks everyone; for the time I think the only choice is to accept it as 1/2 Kasu KM# 146
@David Graham all the best to find an elephant coin without mysterious inscriptions :), it troubles not to be able to get a definite attribution
