Ok so the coin is very corroded I am aware. The coin is very worn this I'm also aware of. So what I'm asking is take a look and see if you recognize what's there. This is my favorite so I would like to get a better idea of it's history if possible. Like I said it seem to be a flowing hair the planchette is near paper thin the reverse has what looks like a duck and the edge an inscription that reads "twenty Hal dism for dollar"

What's funny is how you get anything that you described from those pictures! You have a rusted out, beyond corroded planchet with nothing discernible from those pictures. How you see what you see is beyond me now and probably many others on this forum.

I'm thinking that is Pareidolia if this in fact once was a Half Cent or Large Cent.

I would like to know how you discern this rusted piece is from a flowing hair coinage?

Very corroded is an understatement. No visible features, much less lettering, on either side, at least from the photos.

I kind of, sort of think I may see a King George III halfpenny, or a Connecticut or Vermont copper which kind of mimicked them. Nowhere near confident enough to say it is one though.

I'm not entirely convinced this is (or more accurately was) a coin.

Size, thickness, weight, and specific gravity would be a good start. Another help would be to wet the surface (with distilled water) and photograph it. Sometimes that helps with contrast.

It is only .9mm thick with a height of 24.9 mm and a weight of only
3.8 gram or 58.8 grain that was for those who were interested enough to try and help, now for those who were anything but helpful. A buddy of mine stopped by today I hadn't seen this friend in some time so we spent the afternoon looking back until he asked that question. He said "where did it all go wrong" followed by "how did this happen" my friend was referring to the present and future we all face. I told him it it was simple no one listens anymore. I explained give a group of people a simple task with direct objectives and in the end you will have chaos mixed with a small few willing to put in the work, he stepped back and laughed at the idea. I took a coin from my box and told him I would post the coin with the simplest of instruction and show him what I was talking about. So to the rest of you I say thank you for making my point to my friend, he now understands that it was those who thought to highly of themselves to do the work while at the same time trying to convince others how important they are when in all actually they were quite opposite. No you see it was those who had better things to do than becoming informed or simply chose to use any advantage to prop themselves up for their own reasons. It is a sad state we live in today and I want to thank all of you who might have had a hand in getting us here.
