So far I'm batting .000 when attempting to identify a doubled die coin. Pretty sure I've done it finally. Maybe. Possibly? Your expertise is very much appreciated.

Please show us close-ups of the areas you believe show doubling.

If you are looking to the right of the date, you are seeing die wear towards the rim:

The 1950's Wheat cent die were way over used. Your is just another example of that.

On a 1955 cent you would definitely know if you had 'the' doubled die. If you are seeing any doubling on this coin (I can see any given the pictures posted) it would be MD. for some reason on only the '55 cents it is called a 'Poor man's doubled die - I think they named it that as to get inexperienced collectors to buy one, seeing how famous the real one is...

I agree that this one was a swing and a miss too, but keep grinding away and you'll find one.

I took pictures lastnight of a 20 dollar box of wheat cents I bought. This is the best I can do as far as close ups at the moment. I may have 3 of the same WDD. I'm identifying using the markings in Wexlers DD listings. If this is WWD-001 it's a class B. I may be completely incorrect though lol

Yes [another miss], but keep swinging.

First, if you don't have the doubling than markers don't mean anything.

The main doubling on this variety is the eye and the 19 of the date and neither is present.

Another big clue is the placement of the mint mark. Your mint mark is slightly below the 5, whereas, the DDO-1's mintmark is not.

You will eventually start to recognize these subtle differences and it will come much easier.

Not sure what you use to view the coins, but I would recommend a magnifier at least 5X-10X [which can also be used in conjunction with the camera to take close-ups].

Keep at it.

well, we are here to help you go in the correct direction. but remember when finding errors in the wild, you will be told no more often then yes - it is just the nature of the beast. Errors are fairly rare, which iswhat give them the value. If every coin had an error, then there would be no added value.

Yes sir I understand completely. The gentleman who raised me handed me 2 Kroger bags full of Cents last time I saw him about 10 years ago. He chuckled and I couldn't figure out why he wanted me to have penny's so I puttem in my trunk and forgot about em. While clearing out a home 6 months ago I kicked a couch and a 1879 Susan B.Anthony landed on my foot. That being my birth year I kept it and started researching why these coins were listed so high. In doing so I thought about those Kroger bags and his chuckled. Asked my daughter if she happened to had seen em and my luck she puttem in a jar 10 years ago. I've learned how much time a person can spend on one denomination and still not know anything about said denomination. That being said, my girlfriend was murdered by a jealous ex boyfriend December 29th 2021.These coins have provided me a safe place mentally and physically I never knew existed. I appreciate your honesty and my feelings can't be hurt so don't worry. I drink my whiskey straight.
