I need to know if this coin is a doubled die or just Machine Doubling.
I think that it shows die doubling, (tripling?), on Liberty and the mint mark. Have I finally found a doubled die?

Agree, with some possible split-plate doubling mixed in.

So it is neither. Not a doubled die or Machine Doubling. As mentioned already, DDD is a form of die wear seen on the single squeeze die cents.

Aye, Die Deterioration Doubling. Not terribly uncommon.

Yep! DDD is the answer here. It is easy to identify because the apparent 'doubling' is heading towards the rim all the way around the coin.
