This nickle was part of a lapel pin. It separated but still has adhesive stuck to it.
the pin was dated from the mid 60's. Anyone know a good way to remove it.

Agree, try soaking it in acetone, this should do the trick.

Yes,100% pure acetone not standard nail polish remover. Keep in mind though that epoxy will not come off with acetone.

Water, acetone, xylol (Xylene), methylethylketone, isopropyl alcohol. If those don't work it is probably an epoxy and than your best shot is thermal stress.

As I understand it... Put it in the freezer, let it get cold. Put it in the oven, let it get hot. Repeat.
