You all know she is celebrating 70 years on the throne this weekend. Let's show here some love. Post a coin with her portrait. I'm familiar with the Canadian coins, but I'd like to see what other county's have. Start with this Canadian one from her Golden Jubilee. Not the best pics, the coin is gorgeous. "We are poor little lambs...who have lost our way...Baa...Baa...Baa"

The Machin engraving made it on to so many country's coins. It is classic to me, grew up with it.

We have a winner folks! nss won my 250 post contest. It was sloppy, but worked out. I'd be honoured for you to play again in my new contest. Good luck.
Trig, double Queen was cool in 1 year. When I have a camera, I'll show all the effigy's from here.

Quote: double Queen Here's a triple Queen (plus her mom), from British Indian Ocean Territory... (I apologize for the relative lack of photo quality. The coin is much brighter in hand.)

A privately-produced medallion commemorating the Coronation but given free with a newspaper 60 years later!
