Both are large dates. The small dates location are different in reference to the rim:
1982-D-Penny's-Are-They-Large-Or-Small-Date?
Also other devices are thinner on the small date coins.

Once you study and learn what to look for (the secret is in the "2"s), you'll see for yourself that yours are both large dates. Practice, grasshopper, practice.
