1883-O Morgan Dollar For Grading

I am completely new at Morgan's but got a steal over the weekend and picked up a bunch of 1883-O, 1884-O, and 1886s. This one appears to be the best of the lot. In hand it has a monster reverse and a fairly clean obverse with nice luster. There is a die crack that travels most of the obverse on the inside of the stars (you can see it in one of the pictures).

Thoughts on grade would be appreciated. Also, I don't think it is PL, but if it is let me know.

Grading this a gem, with evident cheek damage in the the darkness and no sense of the upper left obverse field and all of the right obverse field, is a bit of a stretch.

MS64 possibly 65. The obverse die crack is a one & done die marker for VAM-39A.

Above average stile for an 83-O. There are a lot of shadows in the straight on pictures, but I think it is safely at least an MS-64.

Pictures are pretty blurry, but MS-64 seems reasonable. Nice die cracks and clashes!

Here are a few more pictures with different lighting. I don't think I did it justice earlier as it's pretty beautiful in hand. I don't have quite the right lense for this and it's getting compressed so unfortunately they are still slightly blurry.

this year is typically leans toward the softer side so this one is actually quite nice in the strike component. based on the photos MS64+ may make 65 but shadowing on the obv is tough to call 100%

I may just take a shot and send it in. Especially since I purchased it for $40. And I need to send in lower MS grade 1883-O VAM4 I found in the same lot.

this is one that I probably would not consider slabbing unless you are planning on selling it. its going to come back at 64 and maybe 65. at 64 its definitely not worth grading. at 65 recent sales are in the $200-230 range. for me thats not enough to slab but a decision thats up to you obviously

a PCGS silver membership is $69 plus shipping plus grading fees. I think a single regular coin grade is $38

I agree with the others, definite MS-64 but possible MS-65. That is a very clean cheek.
