In the wide world of exonumia, there are many examples of commercial and quasi-commercial medallions which recognize in some form the subject entity. Some of these examples were struck in high relief, and sizes which border on gargantuan. Thinking about some of those Medallic Art medallions produced years ago.

How cool would it be (or not...) if PCGS or NGC (or other) produced their own ultra high relief, large format medallions for limited distribution--extolling the vision and virtues of their enterprises. I gotta think they'd make money--but, perhaps that's not important.

PCGS produced a silver anniversary medal a year or two back. I don't believe it's high relief, though. I think most folks on CCF are familiar with this medal, but I've linked their page for reference:

Liberty have you been lifting lately judging from your PCGS physique?

Bump111... Wow, I missed that one form 2021. Yeah, I'm thinking ultra high relief, perhaps in the 70+ mm range.

Technically, that's a "coin", or at least an "unofficial coin", rather than a medal. It's got a denomination of $2 from Niue on it.

I doubt they would issue a medallion that's too large to fit inside one of their own standard-sized slabs. Kind of defeats the purpose, I'd reckon.
