As long as it is south of the date and east of the design, it is normal. If there are two punching of the mintmark visble on a coin, then it is a coin Variety called a RPM. (Varieties and errors are not interchangeable) It is one or the other or a different term called a die event.

The internet even throws in damaged coins into this term errors, but they are not mint errors, they are coin damage. Know the differences, and then you will enter into the collecting world. Just like the 'Term Errors is used on the internet', The term
