Is this anything special? . Was watching YouTube and the Kennedy half popped up. Said to watch for them because they are rare and could be valuable..

Does it actually weigh 12.6 grams? They are 90% silver and typically weigh 12.5 grams.

1964 Kennedy halves were minted in huge numbers and many were saved in mint condition. Very common coin, and the weight is well withing the normal range.

Well, you tube is correct about one thing - some are very valuable (but only about 20 of them in the whole world - and ALL of them are accounted for)
too bad about the finger print on the obverse.

UTube has ruined many fine minds, don't be one of them. Stick to CCF, we won't steer you wrong. Your half appears to be a normal silver 64.

The mark on the tail feather is damage from the reeds from another coin. So that area is not a plus for the coin. The coin is still worth silver melt.

heres the link to the coincommunityfamily youtube site.
I personally like youtube, there is alot of good information like this sites youtube channel. But as with anything there is alot of mis-information found on youtube. I found researching all the avenues available is beneficial and this site here is great and all the experts here are more than helpful. But I have to say there are some really good youtube channels. Just my thoughts.
