Please tell me how a filled mint mark on your 1982 quarter would result in a DDR? We need to see a close up of where you see doubling.

Ok yes these are definitely better. I can see now that the mintmark is filled it. This is the result of a "broken post" on the die used to strike this coin. Interesting to be sure, but quite common. As to the date, the number two looks damaged to me, but I can't rule out a little die chip there at the top loop. Adding a really nice closeup pic of just that area would help to figure out which it is.

Agree with the broken post on the P which is not an error. The 2 looks like it has just been damaged unless a clear closeup, shows otherwise.

As far as doubling goes, the obverse master die was doubled at IGWT in 1982 for all three mints. So yes , this coin is a DDO but so are they all.
