panzaldi Bedrock of the Community United States 18684 Posts	Posted 07/01/2022 09:33 am can you post in hand photos? trueview photos must be way off on this one. this coin is not VF20. even an novice can see that. way too much detail there. I have 98 graded VF30 with more wear than this one graded by PCGS. I had this at VF35 and dropped it to VF30 due to trueview which I normally do. when every CCF member graded this at VF30/35 something is not right. luckily the value difference is not a huge amount...maybe $200. another example of Grade the coin...ignore the slab Report this Post to the Staff

We all need to see more in-hands and less True Views. The True Views make it impossible to know the surface conditions and to assign a net grade accurately. It's a great resource to grading these challenging coins even a small section on the really tough colonial coinage too.
