this 1984 half dollar is missing all the writing on the reverse side ot has only the eagle cant het app to dosiad the pic of the edge let me know if an edge pic is needed was ths dome at the mint or in someones garage please let me know way you all think

To me this looks like someone was having fun with a lathe. Whether it was in their garage or at a machine shop I don't know. It can't be this way from the mint though.

it looks like it has been cut down. If you can get a weight on the coin, we should be able to tell for sure.

WOW! this is a first!
I would have to say that this coin was attached to a lathe and was carefully tooled down as Spence stated. I would like to see the obverse to see what they used to affix this coin to the machine.
