A Christian religious medal/token of some kind.

15x11 mm is tiny!

great photos especially considering the size. Is the outer ring really that shiny just in the one side? Also does it say VRJ? Cursive is not my strong suit at all. I have no idea what it is but it could be a religious medal, could be a band lol. I'll see if I can find anything.

Might be something to do with union of reform judaism.

Thank You for the replies!

Yes, the right side of the medal is so shiny. I don't know what was it made of.
It was found in western Hungary. This came out of the soil while gardening.
I think this says VRI or VRJ. I still could not find anything similar to this.

I can't find any info in it but URJ could be what it says and still came up with nothing lol.

To me the cross I think is different then what I see on many religions pieces.

The URJ with a cross, if it stood for the union of reformed Judaism(unless they believe in Jesus as gods son) wouldn't use a cross for anything. Does anyone have any examples of this flared cross? Might help narrow it down.

Edit: if I had to guess it is some sort of more modern piece, or it was attached to the outer ring more later in its left. The back if it has even aging so nothing odd there, I'm curiouser if the outer ring is a stone or metal? At the bottom you can see what looks like "denticles" not sure the proper term here but it seems to be top coated with what ever the outer ring is.

Could be Dutch? VRIJ is Dutch for free...

Seriously, that is an enameled piece, not usually considered a piece of numismata? Maybe soeone big on history can answer the riddle in this seeming monogram? By the way, can someone identify a piece by its edges? it looks sort of milled around the edges, and is coppery....
