I don't know much about these other than I have wanted one for a while now. My wife found this in her Grandfather's possessions and I would like to know your opinions on authenticity, grade and anything else that may come to mind.

I would estimate this in VG or slightly better condition, with a value in the $50-100 range.

Probably closer to $50 and that assumes no pinholes/tears in it.

Popular note nicknamed Black Eagle. Printed from 1899 through the late 1920s. The sentimental value would outweigh the numismatic value. Get it into a quality currency sleeve and document its heritage.
