I have found a 1970 floating roof with no FG initials and cannot find any information besides for a 1970 D. I've sent pictures to Heritage but they the value is too low for their auctions. It does have a bit of green on the front but nothing that couldn't be cleaned by a professional. I'm just curious as to how much it would be worth. I can upload pictures if needed.

to the CCF Not too much value anymore as they are too common. It can occur on any year Memorial cent as it is caused by die polishing. The TPG's won't even grade them anymore from what I understand. Pictures should always be uploaded with any question you have so we would like to see the coin in question.

a cent suffering from a possible grease is not worth much, and Heritage won't take an error coin that is not certified or graded usually. However, if you were to post up we may be able to see what is going on with your coin.

to the CCF Floating roof is a result of too much die polishing. There are millions of them out there, so not worth any more than a reg coin.

@nic, first welcome to CCF. Second, yes it would be nice to see overall images of both sides of your cent. I agree with others that there isn't really a premium on these things like an over polished die, but perhaps we will see something about your coin that you didn't notice.

Thanks. The first pic you posted up is nice and big (a little dark, try using better lighting), but the rest are so small, next time try to keep them all like the first one. However, with that said, the reverse is the image with the items of interest - so I'll work with what I got. It look like your coin has an over polished die. the die probably had an 'event' and the mint workers needed to clean it up a little and erased dome of the design elements.
