Can anyone identify if this coin was cleaned from pictures and what grade it would likely hit? I'm having a hard time telling. Thanks!

Attacked with metal polish a long time ago, now quietly acquiring a reasonably nice even patina. No evidence of residual luster between the letters.
Nevertheless a desirable coin, despite suffering the cleaning.
Reverse grades better than the obverse.
VF-30 (cleaned) (obv..)

A Twenty in about EF is on my bucket list.

Yep, methinks old cleaning, but far higher grade than VF-30, my eyes have this at a high AU to me...

Looks polished to me as well. Whatever the grade, it will get a details designation.

its a coin I always wanted for my type set but finding a nice mid grade example without issues at a fairly decent price was not easy.

i have this one at AU details (polished)

the coin still has value and would have been a really nice coin.

Most certainly cleaned. You can tell by the amount of detail without any luster. A coin with this detail should have recognizable luster in the fields. This coin is also has no toning. A coin that is 147 years old should have some kind of toning (20 cent pieces in general, they weren't hoarded).

AU detail, polished. Unfortunately that's the worst type of cleaning.
