@fra, first welcome to CCF. Second, I'm not seeing any doubling on Abe's profile, but a close up pic of just that area could help. I agree that there is quite a bit of damage though.

Agree with the above--post-strike damage. Full, large and sharp (emphasis on large and sharp) pics of the obverse and reverse are customarily posted to provide the best possible assessment. Your single photo is a bit small, but it does seem to show damage.

No sign of any Doubling, just damage
Also a Doubled Die is not an error, it is a variety

not seeing any error or variety here - just a damaged coin.
In the future, please try to post up larger images so we can see details better.

I feel like most zinc cents are dead/dying before they even reach the banks. Leave a mint state zinc cent in damp environment for a few years and without even being damaged the coin will eat away at it self.

I understand why they switched to zinc but from a numismatic standpoint it was a horrible idea not to mention so many zinc cents disappear over time because they just rot away. 1.5b mintage and after 10-15 years I bet there is less then 50m in collectable gem state with no zinc issues.

Always present us with larger photos of both sides, and close up of areas of interest. Always too, tell us exactly where and what you see and thinks is happening. It gives us somewhere to start from.
