It's on subscription and a relatively small dollar amount, so it slipped under the radar.

Still waiting for mine to be picked up by USPS from the Mint's distribution center and delivered to me.

And I agree about how tough it has been finding in circulation uncirculated circulating coins. So far the best I found were some Roosevelts and a Jefferson. Did get a decent Sally Ride and Maya Angelou unc Quarters but nothing for the past two or three months. Even in 2019 and 2020 I would get an uncirculated Native American dollar from one of the vending machines at the bus stations. Nothing this year.

However, my luck may be changing, I got from a bank roll (not a customer roll) a 1947D Washington quarter. That was quite a surprise. Nice addition to my junk silver stack I use to pay for upgrading a coin of numismatic interest or getting a new one.

If you get a coin out of circulation in time it can still be uncirculated as a technical grade.

The US Mint has acknowledged that they changed the packaging process to include the 4 crimps in plastic around each coin in the blister pack. See this Coin News article. They hope that the crimps will prevent the coins from rotating in the blister pack.

Thanks for the article, BadDog. Try as I might, I couldn't resist reading the first few comments from the always-unhappy trolls.

With the bad press received, this seems to fall into the "no good deed goes unpunished" court. Although I do think they might have given consumers a heads up on the ordering page. Athough I'm sure 99% would have glossed over it or been on enrollment like many of us here.
