Pictures aren't really good enough for me to give you an honest opinion.

The obverse pic looks like the coin has been over dipped or has just lost its luster. The reverse pic looks just plain overexposed.

When you get the coin shoot and post some pics that give a more realistic rendition of the coin.

That was my first thought. This coin appears to have been dipped out, and the picture doesn't show possible wear on Miss Liberty's cheek.

Just to throw out a line, MS-63

I agree that the images make this a difficult challenge. It sold 12 years ago and the images were about the same. You can click on the image for a bigger view but it's close to the 300kb max. It will be interesting to see it in person. I took a chance but feel OK about it so far, as another bidder was $2 below my set bid when the sniping ended.

with the previous comments. the shield is a little bothersome. if the coin has its original surfaces maybe MS64 if not MS63 details but I think they are using light to simulate luster

there is no way a TPG will grade this MS66 with a shield like that.

Can't tell for sure from the photo lighting, but it looks cleaned to me, doesn't have that frosty MS look. MS details, cleaned.

Like I said, this picture doesn't showcase the cheek, you can't tell whether there is rub or not. Probably got some rub and was dipped out. Or maybe ANACS net graded the dip to an AU, but that doesn't exactly make sense. We need honest pictures.

Your comment is similar to the options I've considered. 1 - There's rub or loss of luster that they considered circulation, and they accurately graded it. 2 - They considered it overdipped and net graded it, but that doesn't make sense to me either, unless they're saying "this UNC coin is worth AU58 money." 3 - they messed up.

Between here and another forum only one person said AU, and they added Details. Most were in the MS63-67 range, some with caveats about the dipped appearance. When it arrives I'll try my best at photos.

No one picked up on it being a DDO. I was only looking for a nice example of Reverse 2 for the year, and thought the DDO would be a cool bonus. I suspect some bidders saw it too and wanted it for that reason.
