Thanks CF, Coop, Gorham Collector, Chuckster 125, And TB.
Coop, thanks for mentioning that one. That last image was just some die scratches as markers. BTW- There's another die dot under the your of EPU as well but the image wasn't in my folder for some reason.

I think the reason the old timers consider it "md" is bc they are just using the md definition to describe what's happening since it's similar to what happens in actually md from the working die to Planchet.
Thanks GC. ( I liked your coin BTW.)
Some of them don't care for modern single squeeze doubled dies and that's perfectly fine if they don't care for them. More for us.
But they shouldn't be spreading false information by insisting single squeeze doubling isn't really hub doubling. They basically said they were correct and all the current attribution services were wrong in assigning
DDO or
DDR status to single squeeze era coins. (We love them and know better.LOL)
I understood what they were saying but completely disagree with their assessment of using it to describe doubled dies in this single squeeze era. Some people on the other forum were stating thickness on devices in the single squeeze era wasn't really a doubled die. I took exception to that since the thickness is measurable and on a working die.
If their thoery were accurate and the working die experienced "MD" and transferred that "MD" to the planchet, the doubling on the coin would still be flat or shelf-like, and not have overall thickness.
The last thing I'll mention is this. Their "MD on the Working Die Theory" could be used to describe how almost all doubling from the old conventional method occurred also.
It could even be used to describe how the doubling occurred on the '55 DDO-001. I can hear them now "It's just high bounce MD with slight rotation on the working die." (Did it happen on the first hubbing, second hubbing, or both hubbings if you use their theory of "MD on the Working Die Theory" ?)
Using their rationale, Class III, Design Hub Doubling, (think large Date Over Small date) might be the only one that definitely occurred from two separate hubbings.

Anyways, thanks everyone for letting me get this off my chest. I'll go back on my meds now.

Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.
