Last one for now. Again: NOT my coin. What grade do you think this one got from PCGS?

Good strike, attractive surface quality, MS-65 for me.
EDIT: I change my mind, MS-64 final answer!!

Are the grading guidelines different for these older dollars? A Morgan in this condition would be XF or AU at best, right?
No luster left and clear signs of some wear?
(I apologize for any cluelessness in above question/statement!)

Quote: No luster left and clear signs of some wear? these early dollars had all kind of strike issues. what you are seeing it strike not wear. look at the star definition, lettering and date and the lower portion of the hair. look at the denticles also. these are the high points of the devices and have no signs of wear i'll chime in at MS64 also

Jeez, I'll go with 64 as well, but I'm pretty clueless on something like this.

I like the look on this one more than I do the 1799/8 and the 1802, but PCGS called it AU(58)+. I can dream, can't I? The 1800 Dotted Date one is the only one with real visible luster.

No experience grading coins this early but I would say Choice Unc.

To be honest, these coins have to be evaluated in hand. The TruView pics make it harder to see flaws. A lot of bust coinage make it into MS holders, but are actually AU.
