This I bought a few weeks ago. It was 40€, from a small coin / stamps dealer. Based on the experience with the first Morgans that you all have rated, I'd guess this is high AU, reverse possibly MS.

It looks like a baggy Unc. MS-62.

The reverse is better, right?

Could you get a photo without the shadow over the bottom half of the obverse? Can't see Liberty's cheek well

Now the thumb print becomes much more evident center obverse. I would still call it MS-62.

That cheek slash in the first pic really kills it for me. I'll say MS-62.

Obverse has a lot of contact marks. Reverse is very nice, with a sharp strike and no distracting marks. MS-62

the reverse on this coin is very nice. I venture to say if the photos are accurate its MS65. nice luster and strike is on point for this year. the obv is a different bird. both your obv photos are not showing if the luster is broke across the cheek. the first photo has shadowing and the 2nd to much glare. both making it difficult to assess any marks or scuffs etc. the nose and eye area appear to be the worse areas. I dont think they are bad enough to details the coin.
I think the coin overall is better than a 62 and I think the obv will hold it back from a 64 so my grade is MS63 on this one and a good buy at the price

Thank you for your detailed explanation.
I also feel that the reverse is in really really good shape.
I will try to get a better pic of Liberty's cheek and post it later this evening.

Quote: I will try to get a better pic of Liberty's cheek and post it later this evening. the biggest key is try to avoid the glare. try even taking the photo without any lighting as well. I dont think its going to change the grade as the coin cannot get to 64 and is better than a 62 but i'd like to see it better to confirm how bad the marks around the nose and eye are

I sm obviously a novice, but comparing this with the examples at PCGS (I discovered them only recently.), I can't say I agree.
MS-61 looks significantly worse. I think its at least as good as the MS-62 example.
