So I would like to thank y'all for reading my post, so I was wondering what exactly is a black beauty and are any of these them.. Are the profitable hunting?
a Black beauty is a nickel that has had an annealing issue when the coin is in an oven and got 'over cooked' turning it black. the coins you show up above are just environmental toning/issues.
Some coins have a rainbow effect which are valuable.Your coins do not have this, the color on your coins are from a beverage spill, being in the ground, chemical contact,ect...continue to have a collection of these, it does look cool but they have no value.
As mentioned Black Beauties pertain only to Jefferson nickels from 1950 to 1955 mainly Philly minted . Nothing that you have is worth anything above face value . All look environmental damaged and normal circulated toning .
