Looks like solder added to the coin post mint so it would be damaged. The colour is off and iv never seen any die break look like this.

It has been added after the coin was struck. There is no
way that could happen during the striking of the coin.
Just a spender now.

I'll have to say that with the irregularity of the 'thing' on this coin, that it has been added later - as stated, most likely solder. so just PMD

@jos, the only thing that I would add is that a good way to tell if something has been added to a coin is to measure the weight. If it is above mint tolerances than you almost certainly have something extra with that coin.
