Quote: I don't know, I like that they are 99.99% silver. I have to agree. Makes me even more furious they did not offer a 50th anniversary Ike.

I absolutely love them. I was lucky I purchased them through the mint, and not secondary. I don't consider them part of the org series. The only thing I don't like is that the mint couldn't get their stuff in order and offer a 22 version. Have to wait till 23. jbuck, that would have been good. Ida been all in on a 99% silver Ike.

As some of you know, my grandfather was born in 1922 and I have the 1922 Peace dollar his grandmother gave him when he was a child. I really wanted a 2022 to mark what would have been his 100th birthday.

While I was harping on how nice the new Morgan and Peace are (and they are), they don't hold the same feelings for me as the classics Peace from 1921 to 1935 (I don't collect Morgan's but I did want the 2021 series). Those coins were produced for circulation and experienced 2 of the most historic periods in American history. Ranging from the roaring 20's, the time of speakeasy, flappers, technological advances, the first time that more people lived in cities than in rural areas, to the Great Depression a time of absolute poverty and hopeless. The Peace dollars are one of the great coins of that time. Hence why I'll treasure my Dansco album of peace more than the current modern coins.

The 2021 Peace is just incredible. I have one and I would never part with it, it's gorgeous. The Morgan I will probably sell.

That's a beautiful set of Peace dollars. The toning looks fabulous. Its so nice to see such an original complete set like you have.So many examples are dipped and full of cleaning scratches and polished coins on auction sites.Good grief, there's some terrible Peace dollars for sale on the Internet. What a treasure you have collected. Good job! hfjacinto.

I managed to find a 2021 Peace dollar on ebay at a reseller (in the original packing it came from the mint, he has 10+ in stock). If its not absolutely flawless I will probably return it though.

As others mentioned, I consider them a separate bullion/commemorative issue and not part of the series. I was torn whether even to get one or not but eventually broke down and got the 2021 Peace and 2021-S Morgan, both in NGC MS70. Overpaid for them, but I have no desire to get any further examples. I almost got the 2021-CC Morgan but I didn't like the privy mark, so since I've always been partial to San Francisco mint coins I picked that one. BTW, that's a beautiful set of Peace dollars you have there, hfjacinto!

They will be back in 2023 by the way. What do you think of that? I think if they bring them yearly, they have no business selling them for more than a silver eagle. But they are asking about double.

I would never pay the premiums this silver round is bringing.

I bought a 9 hole Danisco page to add the Peace dollar to my set. Did the same for my Morgan date set.
