I have found its always better to ask bc I've seen so many things that look like garbage that end up being a true mint error. Coin counter/sorter damage? I see the circular lines.

Yes @ema that looks like rim damage to me. Do the two squished areas line up, like someone used pliers on this coin?

Some people should never be allowed to play with tools.
I also see radial flow lines from a worn out die.

Note how it bulges out farther that the edge. Moved metal father outwards from the reeds on the edge of the coin from damage. (the planchet is smaller than the collar. When struck the coin now expands wider with the reed filling out during the strike. All done in less that a second in one motion) On the Proof Dollars on the SAC and the Presidents, the three all happen at the same time. On the Business strikes, the incuse letters are added in a separate step. (thus the flip over directions on the incuse edge letters BS coins can be in either direction)
