One of my customers handed my manager Three Cents as part of her payment at the register. He saw that one of them was a wheatie and set it aside for me. It's a 1953 S in F condition! WAY cool! We never see S mint coins in this neck of the woods, much less ones that are over 50 years old!
Just thought I would share the story....no biggie.
My mother gave me a LWC yesterday she found in change,a 1918-D in G4 condition .I almost never find any past the 30's.No big deal but kinda cool. John1
I got a 1953 in change the other day, and immediately segregated it in the change pocket of my jeans so I wouldn't accidentally spend it. Today, I was reminded of its' existence when I pulled it from the bottom of the washer.
