Hi...

I know this might have been asked before but I need some help/advice.

Over here in the UK where I am, only coin capsules under the Lindner brand are available.

The only place that sells anything coin related near me is guy who sells metal detectors. I asked him about air tites and he had never heard of them.

So does anyone know anything about the Lindner capsules? Are they pvc free?

This was another topic the guy did not know about.

The other question would be how to determine what sizes I need for all of my various coins since information on the actual size of them is not available since I do not have just US or UK coins.

Thanks,
Ken

I don't have Lindner's capsules but if they are currently being sold through their website, they would most certainly be PVC-free. Call or e-mail if you're still concerned.

Sizes of most coins are available on numismatic websites and in numismatic publications. Wikipedia has some good coin information also but it can be edited by anyone so confirm with a set of calipers to be sure of the diameter.

You can Google Air-Tite and buy them from many sources. Shipping to the UK is generally not a big problem. I've got a lot of Air-Tites I no longer use and if you're looking for used drop me e-mail and I'll gladly assist you.

Good Luck!

Also they have them in most sizes. They are made up of a hard plastic case and a foam ring - so they get to almost any size you can imagine by using different size foam rings within 1 of 4 different size plastic case. I would be surprised if you can't find something for most if not all of your coins.

Not sure why you just don't use those 2"x2" flips. And they come in all plastic or cardboard with plastic insides. Most dealers now use the smaller 1-1/2"x1-1/2" size. All are available on numerous coin product web sites. One, can't remember the name, is really popular. Kroeger or something like that. Maybe some other members could give you the name. They are cheap and could handle almost any sized coins.
