I got this dime back in change the other day. Is this something someone did on purpose, or did this happen at the mint? If it happend at the mint, is it worth anything?

Looks legit but hard to tell from photo. Has the right look of a curved clip. Pretty nice if genuine. It would definitely have value. Not sure what that would be.

How do you count the number of clips on a coin? I have a half dollar that has at least 2 small curved clips, but also has two additional areas where there was not enough metal to form a rim. How may clips would that be?

Randy, please try to keep discussions about the same coin in the same topic, otherwise in can get very confusing.
