I'm wondering which you would keep in a standard book vs. air tite?
Does anybody use both? Are Dansco the board favorites? I'm starting to collect all pennies first and am going to get an album.
Have a nice evening!!

My non core collections go in Dansco or Whitman albums. My core coins go in Airtites and stored in sheets of 20 Coins in ring binders. Basically if its a 2 Cent it gets a plastic coffin after its been cataloged anything else fends for itself....

I use Airtites on some of my coins. They are very, well, airtight. They are slightly hard to open once closed so I recommend for long term storage of coins. I have had a 1909 V.D.B. RD Lincoln in one for 5 years now. Still RD with no signs of BN forming

Which air-tite do you recommend for the new Lincoln proofs?

There's only one size for all Lincolns, that's what you use.

Which air tites do you use that would fit into binder pages? Thanks, guys. Sorry to ask. I'm new to this coin gig and the local dealers are grumpy old men.

I also made the jump from Dansco's to all airtites in binder pages. I'm looking for long term storage and so far so good! I stick every coin I own that is a part of my set in airtites. Only ones I do not include are my older wheats that are all XF/AU that are already browned/toned. So far I have all my Statehood Quarters including clad and silver proofs in airtites, all my sacagawea's, SBA's and presidentials. It does get expensive ordering a box of 250 airtites at a time though.

I only use Whitman Classic Albums, some plastic rolls and just way to many 2x2's. No airtights or such. Now with well over 100 albums and each in a Zip Lock plastic bag. Never any problems with toning, tarnishing, corroding, etc. It always appears that Dansco is more popular in the West coast and Whitman is more popular in the Middle areas of the country. People in the East are all mixed up with different brands. Is suspect Whitman is the choice of the Middle area due to the availability since made in the Mid area of the country. All based on what I usually see at coin shows, coin stores, coin forums and people I know.
