i dont do this yet I am primarily a collector but I have thought about starting to invest in coins all so.

so my thinking is do key dates always rise in value over time I'm sure like for instance the 1909-s vdb has cycles it follows like it will drop in value a little but it always goes back up eventually over time.

so do all key dates do this is it a safe bet to assume that me being 27 by the time I turn lets say 50 that the keys I have stocked up on will of risen in value and I would make a good amount of money on them I know nothing is guaranteed but is this a safe bet.

Let me put it this way. If I paid $7.5 million for a coin that was supposed to be unique I would be most upset if 10 more suddenly appeared on the market...
As long as the hobby remains Keys will always command a premium but who knows how much? What did the GSA sales do the Morgan keys? Investing in anything is gambling so be a collector instead and you will enjoy your assets a lot more.

If you do decide to invest in keys I would only buy coins that have been slabbed by PCGS, NGC, ANACS, or ICG with grades and authentication. I buy most of my keys this way, but because I am a collector first I crack them out and put them in Dansco albums. If I were primarily an investor I would never take them out of the slabs.
