1997 Dime Is This Machine Doubling

on my 1997 P dime am I getting it right is it Machine Doubling or what is it and its on both sides of the dime and all the way around all the lettering and the bust plus what are all the little lines that looks like little tinny scratches

Looks like Die Deterioration Doubling to me.

Note the year. It is a DDD. Looks like the motto devices. They are showing the same DDD die wear pattern on that area Just like the Liberty on the Cents.

So it is a single squeeze die with DDD. Not Machine Doubling on the obverse and the reverse. Note all the affected areas are moving in the direction of the rims on both sides of the coins.

This is DDD. Which is different from MD. DDD forms from a worn die and the design elements on the die are wearing out - you can tell DDD from MD as DDD will skew the 'doubling' towards the rim all the way around.

thaks I think lol there is a lot to learn and I have not heard of a DDD before should I put it in my spend pile or keep pile are they worth more than face value
