Title pretty much says it. Wondering what to call this. It doesn't seem like PMD to me. What are your thoughts? Thanks!

I would think a plating blister but it's odd it does not show on the columns, only in the bays. If it is a plating blister, maybe the column areas were pushed down over time, through circulation and the recessed bays, protecting the rest of the blister.

Either that or a planchet scratch. If you blow up the pic, you can kidda see them in the columns.

I feel it is a die scratch issue on your coin. While circulation wear can wear off a die crack, it it did the plating would be gone. So I feel this is not a die crack, but a die scratch on the fields. (yes, the fields are also the bays on the Memorial building) Either way there is no premium for these. Just knowing what it is, is the bonus. Now that you know, you can move on to the next coins in the search.

I'm voting for a die gouge or scratch. this is only on the fields and in the deepest recess of the columns

What would the difference between a die gouge and die scratch be? The size/width of it?

Die scratch/gouge or linear trail gas bubble. Try depressing it with a toothpick. It may not flatten, but that test is not 100%
Also looks like a minor MAD.
